We don't realize how dependant we have become on the Internet untill something goes wrong and we don't have it. Today our network at work was not functioning very well and all day long the Internet was going in and out on all the computers. It would be on one minute and then gone the next. I was dead in the water because I communicate with all my clients through e-mail and found that without the Internet and my precious e-mail I almost found it imposable to function.
It's really sad, what happened to just writing a letter? Or picking up the phone and giving someone a friendly hello. I'm not saying that I am going to give up my Internet ways or habits but today was a real wake up call to remind me that we still need human interaction.
