Poms, Poms, Poms.....

This weekend we had a nice visit with my parents who also love Pomeranian's as much as I do. I had one of mine with me and when we added my one to my parents four we had a total of five little fluff balls running around her familyroom. They are great entertainment and can really keep you laughing. Here's a cute video of two of my mom's dogs playing.

Peek-a-Boo Baby

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. I've been pretty busy reorganizing my life among other things. My daughter-in-law took some cute pictures of my little granddaughter and her new little playmate. I thought I would sneak them in for all to enjoy.

Our Little Sweet One...

One of grandma's brag days. Yesterday I had one of the best Saturdays I have had in quite awhile. I was able to spend the whole afternoon and evening with my newest little granddaughter Vivianna. What a sweet thing she is. She is so feminine and something in me wants to believe that when she looks at you she is really sizing you up. Her little eyes almost seem to speak what I thing she might be thinking about in her new little mind. She has long fingers so delicate I think she would make a beautiful little piano player (we'll see?). Her uncle Mike and aunt Wendy came to see her in person for the first time and auntie got to hold and cuddle her. Later that night we ordered pizza and a good time was had by all.

New Happenings...

Hi everyone well I haven't had time to keep everyone updated so I thought since I woke up at dark thirty this morning I might take advantage of the time and fill you in on some family news. Well to start with Vivianna is now settled at home with her big sister
and mommy and daddy. Glad to say that they are all doing fine.
Isla's mommy is taking her to mommy and baby yoga and they are both enjoying that quite a bit. I have a real cute picture of Isla in her little yoga outfit to share with you.
Gretchen her is a dear friend of my daughter-in-law just gave birth to her new little girl last week and we wish her the best.
And of course I still plug away everyday at the office but I have to admit it keeps me busy and out of trouble.

The Present.....

It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.

His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window.

The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.' Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy. Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present.

Never Talk On A Cell Phone When It Is Charging!!!

I received an e-mail today about cell phones and charging them. I am going to share this with you all but I did go to http://www.snopes.com/horrors/techno/cellcharge.asp and they said that yes cell phones can catch fire and explode but they will not electrocute you. Read the paragraph and draw your own conclusions.

A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home. Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with the instrument still connected to the outlet. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Cell phones are a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death. Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

Precious Moments...

Our Precious Little Vivianna Jeanne Has Arrived!!!

I'm proud to say that Mommy and baby are doing well. Vivianna made her entrance into the world little after 6 pm today. She weighed in a little over 7 lbs. She is rosy pink and has a little head full of black hair. What a little cutie.

Her sister Malia was there to meet her right after she was born and her little almost 4 month old cousin Isla came to greet her also. It was so much fun to watch and take all kinds of pictures of everyone (that's what proud grandma's do).

I'm so very proud of all my boys and their families. I think that all the cousins will have so much fun growing up together and doing all the girlie things that girls like to do together as they grow up.

Here are some photos of some of the precious moments that were shared tonight.

Profound Prayer!!!

This prayer was sent to me from one of the students that I have had come through our school. It has such a profound message that I want to share it with you. Please read it and share it with your friends.

Truth...from a man the media has never been able to throw dirt on...amazing!! He has certainly hit the "world" on the head!!! Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY! 'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!' Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'

Yea!! Isla is 9 months old
