Friendship
What is friendship? Through the years I have had many special friends who have been there for me through the good and bad times in my life. We've laughed and cried and stood side by side threw thick and thin. A true friend is one whom, even though you may only see them once a year, is someone who when you make contact with them again, you feel as though you have never been out of touch with them at all.
I have to tell you that I had an appointment today in an old community that I used to live. I decided to look up an old friend that I have'nt seen in over a year. We spent many hours just chatting about the things we use to do and catching up on all the new things that are now going on in our lives. Life always changes around us but old friends always stay the same.
Thanks to my special friend Susie whom I have known for many years I had a wonderful Valentine's day just sharing old memories and catching up on new ones as well.

Dairies Of A Grandmother
I'm sitting at home just reflecting how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family even though my children are all grown and now have families of there own. Being a grandma was very strange to me a few years ago when my first grandchild was born but as she grew up to be such a wonderful little young lady and to love her grandma "A" so much I now know how special being a grandmother is. Malia has taught me that, the 4 short years she has been in my life. I love spending time with her just to watch her princess movies or coloring with her in her coloring book.
As I get older I realize how special and precious each moment is. I guess that comes with age and wisdom. Don't get me wrong I still love to have fun and expect that with my granddaughters there will be many special times. I can't wait to get to know Isla the way I know my sweet little Malia. Oh and by the way Malia's mom has another special gift arriving sometime in May.
Embrace each moment as if it where your last and live and enjoy it to the fullest. The greatest gifts anyone can ask for are family and friends.

Animal Lovers Beware
The government is trying to impose a tax on vertrinary services. I am worried that this will discourage a lot of pet owners from taking proper care of their animals. My sister forwarded this bit of information to me from her vet in Belmont shores area. I am going to put the letter that was sent to her in this post. If you love your pets please take the time to respond and call the phone number listed so that our precious animals don't suffer.........
Dr. Sitler:Please consider sharing this email with your other clients. It is vital they know about the proposal and the easy method to oppose it.If you own a pet and live in California, the state's budget crisis is about to hit you in a strange way: When you visit your veterinarian next year, it's very likely you're going to be taxed. The Governor is calling this veterinary tax a “luxury tax.” I'm not sure where Governor Schwarzenegger's logic comes from, because when my dogs and cats (a.k.a. "The Ark") get sick, I don't consider a trip to your office to be a luxury. It's a vital necessity. And if you own more than one pet like I do a simple visit for a check-up, teeth cleaning, or a heartworm test could become more costly. At a time when many people are surrendering their pets to shelters because they can no longer afford to own them in today's economy, think how many more pets are likely to be given up - or how many will simply forego a trip to the vet for necessary treatment. The call takes less than a minute! Just dial (916) 445-2841, listen to the menu options then press: 1, 5, 1, 2.(1=English, 5=Veterinary Services Tax proposal, 1=to respond to the proposal, 2=to oppose the tax).On behalf of all pets and their owners, thank you for taking the time to oppose this proposal. Baby On The Way!!!!
Attention attention.......
I think very soon we will have a new little girl in our family. Ali was admitted to the hospital around noon or so to have labor induced. Andrew said their doctor said the baby might be as big as nine pounds give or take a pound. They were estimating about 12 hours before she makes her arrival. As soon as I get my first pictures of the baby I will post for you all to enjoy. Please keep our Ali in your prayers.

Welcome Family and Friends
Hi
Everyone,
Bere with me this is all knew to me but I thought it would be a great way to let people know what is happening with my family. It seems these days it is growing by leaps and bounds. I am already a grandma of one lovely little girl and have two more little ones waiting to be born. My oldest son and his wife are expecting any day and I am very excited about the new little second granddaughter I hope to see soon. Mommy and Daddy are waiting very patiently for her (she was due last Thurs 2/5/09). I expect she will probably make her entrance this week sometime.
I have been keeping busy with work and my 4 dogs and 1 cat. What a joy they are. I have three Pomaranians and a very old white toy poodle and one black cat. What fun they are.
