I just wanted to speak a little on those nasty little virus worms that are trying to infect our computers. I had a little surprise when I booted up my computer at work this morning. I had a very official looking program box download snap up on my desktop saying that they were an official protection program from Microsoft to check to see if you have a licensed copy of Windows XP installed on your computer and if you didn't it would tell you how to fix it to continue to receiving support from Microsoft.
Needless to say, it just like everything else seems to be one of those virus worms like spyware, malware etc. If anything shows up on your screen don't download it, I emphasize this! Once you get this thing in your registry it's almost impossible to get rid of it.
Our little friend the conficker worm is still very much alive and well he just needed a week to reset himself. So don't let your guard down and again I remind you to update and keep updated virus protection on your computer.
If anyone was accidently traped into downloading a fake Spyware Guard 2008 or 2009 I found a website that might be able to help you remove it.
I accidentally downloaded it by mistake on my work computer and it really caused a mess and slowed down my hard drive. It tricked me into thinking that it was a legitamite anti spyware/malware program. The link to help you remove it is http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ .
