Christmas Time Again
My how fast the time flies. This year has been quite eventful for my family and I this year. My dear husband had another stroke (this one quite a bit more serious than the last one he had). I'm glad to say that he is recovering nicely and I hope that he will be able to come home soon. We also had another little one added to our family (Isaac) he is such a cute little guy. I am still semi retired but I might consider going back to work part time after the first of the year if need be (but I will tell you that I will do something fun this time around). My Mom had another birthday and I have to say that I think she is younger at heart than I am these days. My sister took us both to Newport Beach to spend the day and then we had a lovely dinner at my Mom's favorite restaurant. Well this is some of my news in a nut shell, I just want to take this time to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Special Prayers For Isaac

To all who check in to see what grandma is doing, I'm asking for special thoughts and prayers for the newest little member of our family who will soon be making his appearance into this world. It turns out that our little Isaac may have some heart problems. Mom has been in the hospital already for about 14 days while they evaluate and administer different medications to help his little heart beat a more regular rhythm. Sometimes his heart just wants to beat so fast (up in the 200's when it should stay in the 130 rage). We are hoping that as soon as he is born (about three weeks or so) that the problem will resolve itself. Again I ask for prayers for both Mom and Isaac!!

Amazing Night With Hunter

Last night Pa Pa and I (that's what we call my husband) got to babysit for our little grandson Hunter. What a little bruiser and bundle of joy he is. Even though he got quite fussy part of the time it was so fun to spend a whole evening with him with out any other family members around. I can't believe that he is going to celebrate his 1st birthday the end of next month. He is getting to be such a handsome little boy. We are expecting another little boy born in about three weeks so our little bruiser will have a little playmate. Our family is changing so much it's hard to keep up with everything.

What's Going On In My World

Were do I begin? To start with George and I are getting closer to becoming grandparents for the 10th time between the two of us. We are both very excited to welcome the new little one into our family. The last month we have had many family gatherings (one baby shower and two birthday parties). George just found out that he has to have a cataract removed from his left eye so he will be having eye surgery the end of the month or the beginning of next month. I will be glad when it is done because he has little or no vision left in that eye. I just found out that I have to have carpel tunnel surgery done on my right hand due to severe nerve damage done through all the years of over use. Because it is elective surgery they say I may have to wait about three months to have it done. I have some great pictures that I want to share with you hope you all enjoy.

Babies, Babies, Babies

Wow the world is blooming with babies or so it seems that way! I guess summer seems to be the time for expectant mothers. We have two in our family. Both expecting boys. Last weekend I went up to my nieces shower and another one being given for my daughter-in-law. These are second children for both happy moms-to-be. It fun watching your own children with their families and seeing how they parent the little ones. It seems like there are so many more wonderful resources for mothers today than we had twenty or thirty years ago.

Seaworld

Tuesday George and I had a nice day at Seaworld. We took in the new Shamu show and had a nice quite lunch even though the park had plenty of people around. I guess summer is coming around even though the weather hasn't really decided what it wants to do. My little granddaughter is recovering nicely from having tubes put in her ears and having her adenoids removed. We are also expecting a new little boy in our family very soon so needless to say Pa Pa and I are very excited to have another grandchild soon. Vivianna is getting ready for another birthday this month. My how the time flies. It seems the older we get the faster time goes by. I'm still enjoying my early retirement but still keep busy with my husbands doctors appointments and his physical therapy which I am happy to say he is almost done with.

Back In The Saddle Again
Well where do I begin? The last three months have been a real roller coaster ride for my husband and I. Back in April my dear sweet man had a stroke and was in the hospital for almost three weeks. I have to admit that we have both learned a lot about how the brain functions both before during and after the stroke and injury to the brain itself. His stroke was on the left side of the brain so the right side of his body was affected. Luckily even though it was considered a major stroke he is recovering nicely and doing very well with his therapies that he still does twice a week. They are projecting almost a full recovery for him but it does take some time and a lot of patience both on my part as well as his. We have both learned a great lesson in humility and how precious life really is.
I want to thank all of our family and friends who gave us so much needed love and support.
